Neck Pain Treatment and Shoulder Pain Treatment

Treatment of mild soft-tissue neck and shoulder pain often includes anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve). You might also try a pain reliever such as acetaminophen (Tylenol). You can also treat neck and shoulder pain with a local application of moist heat or ice.

Local corticosteroid injections are often helpful for arthritis of the shoulder. For improving neck and shoulder pain movement, certain exercises may help.
